Osage Orange wood is one of the hardest and densest woods used as lumber endemic to North America. Now obsolete, the tree was planted in hedgerows to delineate farmland and property in the Midwest as a vernacular form of infrastructure. The forms reflect an ongoing interest in modern furniture design and appliances, domestic space, infrastructure space, and abstraction.
