“Love me not", explores the child like feelings associated with love, primarily frustration. In this painting my star girly is playing the "he loves me" game and has one petal left on her flower. Staring at it, she is crying and moving through her feelings. I wanted to explore the feeling of moving through love that is requited but circumstances intervene.
