Join August Resident Ivy Guild in the Classroom for a Wet Felting Workshop!
This workshop explore the basics of how to make a wet felted artwork. We will swirl colorful wool together into bowls and vessels that you get to take home. Take a break from the heat and join us for a little wet fiber fun!
Guild is currently an Assistant Teaching Professor and Foundations Area Head at the University of Nevada, Reno. In 2021, she graduated from the University of California, Irvine with an MFA in Art. She taught studio art at La Jolla Country Day School for 2 years after teaching K-6th grade art through the Laguna Art Museum from 2018-2021. University of San Diego in May 2016 with a dual-degree in Visual Arts and Art History. She has worked at the Art Department of CTSA at UCI, the Laguna Art Museum, Artists’ Cooperative Residency & Exhibitions (ACRE), the Department of Art, Architecture + Art History at USD, the New Children’s Museum, and Lux Art Institute. In 2018, she participated in residencies at Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, VT and ACRE in Steuben, WI. Guild has shown with ACRE, 1805 Gallery, CSU Long Beach, Wow Project LA, Great Park Gallery of Irvine, the Museum of Fine Arts at Florida State University, Jonathan Ferrara Gallery, the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library, the William D. Cannon Art Gallery, San Diego Art Institute, and Sebastopol Center for the Arts among others.
