Screening: Not Our Land

A film by Marco Pavan
With Cannupa Hanska Luger
Produced by Fondazione Imago Mundi

Join us for the screening of Not Our Land, featured as programming for our current exhibit, TERRITORIAL, curated by Haley Clouser. Following protests against the Dakota Access Pipeline, indigenous artist Cannupa travels to Standing Rock reservation, North Dakota, USA, where he was born. In a journey through the Midwest, he meets with indigenous artists and activists. Here, oil extraction has increased social tensions and threatens to contaminate water, affecting in particular Indian reservations. Back at his studio in Santa Fe, Cannupa starts a new series of artworks that question the exploitation of natural resources.
