Join us with Chattanooga Local artist Eden Anyabwile and artist/curator Stephanie Looggans as they engage in conversation about their practices, communities, and inspirations at the respective points of their careers. Stephanie Loggans, an artist, metal fabricator, and the co-organizer of the artist-run space VERSA reflects on her evolution as Eden, a 2021 graduate of Covenant College, embarking on her career with a focus on photography, video, and conceptual work. The talk will take place after Resident Open Studios.

About Eden

Eden is recent graduate from Covenant College with a Photography and Art History double concentration. Though born in North Carolina, she was raised in Grand Cayman and Washington, D.C. both of which she considers home. Inspired by art historical reference, her photographic practice is centered around themes of race, identity, and the body.

About Stephanie

Stephanie Loggans is an artist and metal fabricator from Chattanooga, Tennessee. She received a BFA in Art Studio with a concentration in Sculpture from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Her work has been exhibited in group shows at LABspace in Hillsdale, NY; The Emporium Center in Knoxville, TN; ArtsPlace Gallery in Lexington, KY; Eyedrum Art & Music Gallery and Gallery 72 in Atlanta, GA. Loggans is a two-time recipient of the 

MSA Scholarship for Outstanding Student Achievement for 2016 and 2017 and serves as an Emerging Artist Member on the MSA Board of Directors. She is the Metal Shop Manager at Range Projects and a co-organizer with VERSA, an artist-run space exhibiting contemporary art in Chattanooga.
